Required documents list for
all of our NDIS Support Workers
This is a general guide the required documents can change , please contact us for the lastest requirements.
National Disability Insurance Scheme Worker Check (NDISWC)
Apply online here and visit Service NSW to have your NDISWC completed.
Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Apply online here, and visit a NSW Service centre to have your WWCC.
Tax File Number (TFN) or Australian Business Number (ABN)
Depending on your working arrangements you can work under the SCHADS Award as an employee or as an Independent Contractor. Apply for your TFN here, or ABN here .
If you choose to work as an Independent Contractor , you will also need to provide a Personal Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance with a minimum cover of $1 million.
Disability Support Qualifications and Certifications
Kare Square requires all of their support workers to have at least one of the following qualifications :
- Â Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)
- Â Certificate IV in Disability (or Ageing/Community Services)
First Aid Certificate with CPR
All Support Workers need a current First Aid Certificate (renewed every 3 years), and a CPR certificate renewed annually.
National Police Check Certificate
Once we agree to offer you a position we will conduct our own National Police Check and other background security checks through Australian Federal police and other private security check organisations.
NDIS Worker Module Completion Certificate
All Support Workers need to complete the NDIS Commission’s NDIS Worker Training modules which are accessible in this website.
Work Rights in Australia
All Support Workers need to have work rights in Australia evidence of which needs to be shared with us. You can check your work rights in this website.
Full NSW Driver's Licence and Comprehensive Car Insurance
Our Support Workers who drive, need to share their driving record along with their full driver’s licence details with us before starting their employment. You can obtain your driving record here. Every support worker needs to have a comprehensive car insurance policy on which they are included as a driver.
Infection Control Training
Our Support Workers need to renew their Infection Control Training every year which is conducted under the National Hand Hygiene Initiative.
